1. Our Commitment
MyNavi Scan targets conformance to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, the standard referenced by Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act and Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for web content.
2. Measures We Take
- Semantic HTML headings, lists, and landmark regions
- Text alternatives for all informative images
- Keyboard accessibility for navigation and forms
- Sufficient color contrast (target 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text)
- Visible focus indicators on interactive elements
- Forms with explicit labels and inline validation messages
- Respect for the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting for users sensitive to animation
3. Mobile and Touch
The site is designed responsively from 320 px (small phones) upward. We aim for touch targets of at least 44 × 44 CSS pixels. If you find a control that is too small to tap reliably, please let us know.
4. Known Limitations
We continually review and improve. Currently identified items:
- The homepage hero background video is decorative and carries
aria-hidden="true"so screen readers skip it. It does not convey information not available in text. - Embedded map iframes include a descriptive
titleattribute but may not be fully navigable by keyboard in all browsers. A text address is always provided as an alternative. - Some PDF documents linked from the site may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers. Accessible versions can be requested by email.
5. Compatible Technologies
We design and test against the latest two major versions of:
- Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge (desktop and mobile)
- iOS 16 and later (Safari and Chrome)
- Android 12 and later (Chrome)
6. Assistive Technology Support
The site is tested with current versions of:
- VoiceOver on macOS and iOS
- NVDA and JAWS on Windows
- TalkBack on Android
- Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge keyboard navigation
7. Accommodations for Scans
The mobile CBCT van itself includes a sterile patient room. If you require:
- Wheelchair-accessible entry
- A sign-language interpreter
- Translation of instructions to another language
- Additional time or quiet conditions for sensory sensitivity
please tell us in advance at 312-999-0550 or mynaviscan@gmail.com and we will arrange the accommodation at no extra cost.
8. Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, email mynaviscan@gmail.com with the page URL and a brief description, or call us. We aim to respond within five (5) business days.
9. Standards Reference
This statement is based on the W3C WCAG 2.2 guidelines and the U.S. Section 508 ICT Accessibility Standards.
